Goalkeepers often slip under the radar in the goal-scoring frenzy of world football. \u201cAttack wins matches, defense wins tournament,\u201d is a famous quote of Sir Alex Ferguson, and shot-stoppers are the most formidable custodians of any backline. Similarly, the Indian Super League (ISL) has seen several top-notch goalkeepers ply their trade in the competition over the years, and here\u2019s rating the top-10 of them in the 11 seasons of the competitions thus far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu \u2013 48 clean sheets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bengaluru FC goalkeeper has a commanding presence between the posts and has been the undisputed No. 1 for both club and country in the last decade. At 32, he is still going strong and perhaps has his best years ahead of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. TP Rehenesh \u2013 37 clean sheets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TP Rehenesh has been one of the more custodians in the ISL. He has frequently produced terrific outings, and has kept a total of 37 clean sheets in 129 games. Rehenesh is now the No. 2 to Phurba Lachenpa at Mumbai City FC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Arindam Bhattacharya \u2013 30 clean sheets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arindam Bhattacharya\u2019s 30 clean sheets are laudable since they have come in 90 games, reflecting a 33.33% success rate. He has moved from the ISL to the I-League, playing for Inter Kashi now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Phurba Lachenpa \u2013 18 clean sheets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
