The English Premier League (EPL) has seen several dynasties rule the roost with their consistent dominance on the field. Right now, it’s the Manchester City FC setup that has held the upper hand in the proceedings since 2017-18, winning six titles since then.
However, in different phases of the competition, there’s been other clubs who have similarly been at the forefront and become the face of the competition across eras. Here, we discuss the five-most prolific Premier League winning teams of all time.
5. Liverpool – 2019/20

Jurgen Klopp’s men had come painstakingly close to lifting the Premiership with 97 points the preceding season, however, they finally went one step ahead and clinched the crown the following year.
Functioning like a ruthless juggernaut, they bagged 99 points with the help of 32 wins and 85 goals in 38 matches. Though the long-awaited lifting of the championship and the victory parade was marred due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the German manager still succeeded in assembling and spearheading one of the greatest sides in the tournament, ever.
4. Manchester United – 2007/08
It was the season that Manchester United won the historic double, adding the UEFA Champions League crown to their name. The talismanic frontline of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, and Carlos Tevez will go down as one of the most proficient ones in the Premier League, helping the Red Devils notch 80 goals in 38 encounters, bagging 87 points and finishing two ahead of the second-placed Chelsea (85).
3. Chelsea – 2004/05

Jose Mourinho’s first year with Chelsea FC saw him building one of the most defensively strong teams of all time. The team conceded only 15 goals in the entirety of the campaign, spearheaded by the defensive duo of John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho at the heart of the backline.
Mourinho introduced a new wave of football in England, fresh from his success at Porto FC. Chelsea lost merely once whole season, winning and drawing 29 and eight games respectively to steamroll over opponents and cruise their way to the Premier League title in style.
2. Manchester City – 2017/18
Manchester City FC had produced a dream run in 2017/18, which was only Pep Guardiola’s second season in English shores. He had helped them score 106 goals, bringing up 100 points in 38 games. They secured 32 victories, dropping just 14 points in total.
Whilst they have gone on to win multiple championships since then, 2017/18 was the year that started it all. They lost only twice, conceding only 27 strikes in the entirety of the campaign. This victory tops perhaps all of their other subsequent wins since it set the ball rolling for all of their successes later on.
- Arsenal – 2003/04
The only Premier League club ever to remain unbeaten an entire season, Arsenal FC were made of different gravy in that impressive 2003/04 campaign. ‘The Invincibles’, as they are fondly referred to, were arguably made of different stone altogether. The Arsene Wenger-coached side won 26 games and drew 12 others, ending with 90 points, a reasonable 11 ahead of the second-placed Chelsea. They scored 73 goals in the entire campaign, giving away 26 strikes only, maintaining an absolute stronghold, rolling over their nearest competitors such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Newcastle United FC.
